Privacy Policy

        Plain-English Summary
        Intentional Tracker is a personal finance journaling app. We collect only what is strictly necessary to make the app work. We do not sell your data. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app.
      

1. Who We Are

Intentional Tracker ("we", "our", or "us") is a personal finance mindfulness application. To contact us regarding your data, please email boppicrew@boppiapp.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the service:

Account information: Your email address when you create an account (via Google Sign-In or email/password), used solely for authentication and account recovery.
Transaction logs: Financial entries you manually type or speak into the app (amounts, categories, descriptions). These are your own personal notes and are stored under your unique account ID.
Anonymous usage identifiers: A randomly generated session ID used to partition your data in our database. This is not linked to any personally identifiable information unless you sign in.
Anonymous telemetry: If and only if you explicitly choose to opt-in (via Settings → Privacy & Data Retention), we collect anonymous application telemetry to understand which features are used. We do not track any personal identifiers (PII) or financial details (amounts, descriptions).

We do not collect bank account details, card numbers, government IDs, precise location, contacts, or any biometric data.

3. How We Use Your Data

To securely store and sync your transaction logs across your devices.
To generate AI-powered Stoic insights for savings entries (voice and manual). This uses a third-party AI provider; only the text of your entry is sent — never your account details.

4. Where Your Data is Stored

Your data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, hosted on servers in the European Union (EU West region), subject to Google's data processing terms and GDPR compliance commitments.

If you choose "On-Device Memory" mode in the app settings, no data is transmitted to our servers at all — everything stays in your phone's local storage.

5. Third-Party Services

Google Firebase — Authentication and cloud database. Firebase Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics via Firebase — Anonymous telemetry (opt-in only, disabled by default). We use this to analyze app usage. No personal or financial details are shared. Google Privacy Policy.
Google Gemini / AI API — Used to process savings entry text for Stoic insight generation. Only your text input is sent; no personal identifiers are included.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as you maintain an active account. You may request deletion of all your data at any time by using the "Delete Account" feature in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account), or by emailing us at boppicrew@boppiapp.com.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or equivalent laws, including the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
Export your data in a portable format (available in-app via Settings → Data Export)
Withdraw consent at any time (for telemetry, you can withdraw consent instantly via Settings → Privacy & Data Retention → App Telemetry toggle, which will also delete Google Analytics identifiers from your browser)

8. Children's Privacy

Intentional Tracker is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Intentional Tracker ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Intentional Tracker is a personal financial journaling and mindfulness application. It allows you to log, categorise, and reflect on your financial transactions. The App is a journaling tool and does not constitute financial advice, banking services, or regulated financial services of any kind.

3. Not Financial Advice

The content, insights, and Stoic quotes generated by the App are for informational and motivational purposes only. They do not constitute professional financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional for financial decisions.

4. Account Registration

You may use the App as a guest without creating an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or interfere with the App or its servers
Upload malicious content or attempt to inject harmful code
Use the App on behalf of another person without their consent

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code within the App is the intellectual property of Intentional Tracker. Your transaction data and journal entries remain your own property.

7. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data or financial loss.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently and irreversibly removed from our servers.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Use, with or without notice.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
